Once upon a time when the breezy heat of summer’s end had begun to fade to fall, two soon-to-be friends were invited to meet up among many at the drum circle on Casey Key.  A spunky, plucky, barefoot damsel named Christina arrived late, of course, but without distress as she balanced her beach bag and dinner for a bunch of strangers, including two small pork sandwich plates with beans and fries–one for her and the other for some guy named Krishen. Amiable as always, he ran down the beach to introduce himself, offered her a hand and became her first new friend that 25th day of September, 2010.

Throughout the following year, Krishen and Christina became familiar faces as mutual friends continued to share invites to dinners, picnics, bonfires, more sunsets, holiday after-parties, bike rides and random adventures.  “Such a nice guy,” she thought. A good friend too. “You’re so punny,” she’d tell him.  “So kind and smart” he thought.  Stylish and confident, too.  “I like your glasses!” he’d say.  Eventually, Krishen needed some real estate advice so he sent her an email.  Before long — and unknowingly one year to the day from when their friendship began — Krishen and Christina ventured out alone together on their first date… and have been happily ever after, ever since.
